The company Sinosteel is considering proposals for choosing a subcontractor for the CHEK-SU project for the construction of manganese plant in Khakassia.
By the end of September the Chinese general contractor will hold talks in Beijing with Russian contenders for this major contract and select the designer of the plant.
The tender was attended by leading institutions from all over Russia – JSC “Uralmekhanobr” (Ekaterinburg), OJSC “Magnitogorsk GIPROMEZ” (Magnitogorsk), JSC “RUSAL VAMI” (St. Petersburg), JSC “Sibtsvetmentniiproekt” (Krasnoyarsk). The final selection will be made before the end of 2015.
“The Chinese side will be directly involved in the tests of the Usinsk deposit of manganese raw materials, production schedules and the development of the basic design solutions, – said chairman of the Board of Directors of CHEK-SU Georgy Ramzaitsev. – Russian Design Institute will, in turn, develop project documentation in accordance with all state standards, including the Government of the Russian Federation standard from 16.02.2008 №87 “On the composition of sections of project documentation and requirements to their content.” The tender winner will have to present a project for the FAA “Glavgosexpertiza Russia.”
In addition, domestic designers will carry out supervision during construction and monitor the compliance of all design decisions with Sinosteel subcontracting companies. Such monitoring will ensure the creation of modern production that meets all Russian standards and national standards.
